Line & Process Supervision: Manage daily operations across the surface treatment lines (e.g., plating, etching, or cleaning baths) to ensure production targets and efficiency benchmarks are achieved.

Parameter & Bath Monitoring: Monitor and ensure operators maintain strict control over critical process parameters, including chemical concentration levels, bath temperatures, immersion times, and current/voltage settings.

Cosmetic & Quality Control: Enforce strict handling protocols to prevent part damage, contamination, water marks, or scratching before and after treatment. Collaborate with the QA/QC team to immediately contain and troubleshoot surface defects.

Manpower & Shift Scheduling: Allocate manpower effectively across loading, processing, inspection, and packaging stations. Manage operator shifts, track attendance, and conduct regular training on standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Chemical Safety & EHS Compliance: Enforce the correct and mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) by all operators. Ensure safe chemical handling, storage, and transfers on the shop floor in line with industrial safety regulations.

Housekeeping & 5S: Maintain excellent 5S standards on the treatment floor, ensuring rinse tanks, jigs, barrels, and chemical areas are clean, organized, and free from hazards.

Equipment & Jig Maintenance: Monitor line machinery, rectifiers, and filtration systems. Coordinate with the Maintenance team for jig maintenance and to resolve line breakdowns quickly.
                    

Requirements

Education: Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical discipline. (Equivalent long-term experience in surface finishing will be highly considered).

Experience: Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience specifically within a surface treatment, electroplating, anodizing, or metal finishing environment.

Technical Skills: Strong understanding of chemical processing, jigging methods, and surface inspection standards. Familiarity with lean manufacturing (5S, Kaizen) and basic production KPIs.

Soft Skills: Strong leadership, alertness to process deviations, and effective problem-solving skills under tight production timelines.

Languages: Good proficiency in spoken and written Bahasa Malaysia and English. The ability to communicate in Mandarin/Chinese is a strong advantage for managing a diverse team of operators and coordinating with internal departments.
