Job description

Prepare detailed cost estimates, Bills of Quantities (BQ), and project budgets for interior fit-out projects.
Source quotations from suppliers and subcontractors, evaluate pricing, and prepare cost comparisons.
Prepare tender documents, analyze tender submissions, and recommend suitable subcontractors and suppliers.
Negotiate contract terms, pricing, and variations with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
Monitor project costs, cash flow, and budget performance throughout the project lifecycle.
Prepare and submit progress claims, payment certificates, and final accounts.
Evaluate and process subcontractor claims and invoices.
Manage variation orders (VO), extension of time (EOT), and contractual documentation.
Work closely with the Project Manager, Design Team, Procurement Team, and Site Team to ensure cost-effective project execution.
Conduct site measurements and valuations when required.
Maintain accurate project costing records and prepare financial reports for management.
Ensure compliance with company policies, contractual requirements, and relevant Malaysian construction regulations.

                    

Requirements

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Building, or a related field.
Minimum 2–5 years of relevant working experience in interior fit-out, renovation, or construction projects.
Good understanding of construction contracts, costing, procurement, and contract administration.
Strong knowledge of interior finishes, furniture, M&E coordination, and fit-out construction methods.
Familiarity with AutoCAD and quantity take-off software will be an added advantage.
Good negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
Able to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet tight deadlines.
Possess a positive attitude, attention to detail, and strong problem-solving skills.
Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia; proficiency in Mandarin is an added advantage for liaising with suppliers and subcontractors.
