Job description
Key Responsibilities and Duties :-
* Maintain accurate records of all tools and molds, including usage history, maintenance schedules, and inventory status.
* Track tooling movement between departments and update logs accordingly.
* Coordinate with Tooling Technicians to ensure molds are properly stored and maintained after use.
* Conduct regular inventory checks and report any discrepancies or damages to the Senior Tooling Supervisor.
* Monitor stock levels and assist in the requisition of new tools, spare parts, or components when required.
* Ensure all tools are calibrated, labeled, and traceable according to company standards.
* Prepare and update tooling maintenance and usage reports for management review.
* Maintain filing of tooling-related documents, including repair requests, calibration records, and audit checklists.
* Support audit activities by ensuring complete and up-to-date documentation.
* Follow all safety rules and ensure compliance with PPE requirements.
* Report unsafe conditions or defective tools immediately to the supervisor.
* Support quality inspection activities to ensure all tools meet specifications before being used in production.
* Liaise with Production and Maintenance teams to ensure tooling availability aligns with the production schedule.
* Perform any other related duties assigned by the Senior Tooling Supervisor or Tooling Manager
Requirements
Qualification / Knowledge / Skills Requirements :-
* Minimum SPM or equivalent; Certificate or Diploma in Manufacturing / Mechanical / Engineering field is an advantage.
* Minimum 1–2 years of experience in tooling, manufacturing, or related environment.
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and inventory tracking systems.
* Strong organizational, analytical, and multitasking skills.
* Detail-oriented and capable of maintaining accurate documentation.
* Good communication and coordination skills.
* Candidate with Mandarin language proficiency are encourage to apply.
Authority :-
* Authorized to update and maintain all tooling and mold records. * May recommend tooling repairs or replacement to the supervisor. * Can highlight nonconformities related to tooling inventory, safety, or quality to the Tooling Manager.
Working Condition :-
* Manufacturing environment — exposure to production floor, noise, and machinery.
* Must comply with PPE and safety procedures at all times.
* Overtime may be required during peak production periods.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) :-
* 100% accuracy in tooling and mold record updates (movement, maintenance, and usage logs).
* Zero missing tools or molds reported per month.
* On-time completion (≥95%) of monthly tooling inventory checks and reports.
* Tooling request turnaround time ≤24 hours from requisition to delivery.
