Job description

Lead the design, development and implementation of innovative mechanical engineering solutions to meet project requirements
Oversee the preparation of engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless integration of mechanical systems with other engineering disciplines
Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and cost-benefit analyses to optimise project outcomes
Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior engineers, technicians, and project stakeholders
Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols
Continuously research and implement new technologies, methodologies, and best practices to enhance efficiency and productivity
What we're looking for
                    

Requirements

A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline
Minimum 8 years of post-graduate experience in a senior mechanical engineering role, preferably in the industrial or manufacturing sector
Proven track record of leading the design, development, and implementation of complex mechanical engineering projects
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills
Proficient in the use of CAD software, simulation tools, and project management applications
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
Thorough understanding of relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practices
Adaptable to changing priorities and able to work under tight deadlines
