Job description

Week 1: 
Orientation
Welcome & Introductions: 
Team meet-and-greet.  
Facility tour (storefront, warehouse, logistics , racking & etc).  
Compliance & Safety Training:  
OSHA/safety guidelines (e.g., forklift zones, PPE).  
Data privacy policies.  
Tools Overview:  In future
 - Demo of POS, inventory management, and logistics software. 

Week 2 - 3: 
Training & Shadowing
Store Operations:  
 - Shadow staff in receiving goods, restocking, and customer service.  
 - Practice inventory counts and cycle audits.  
Logistics:  
 - Observe order processing, shipment scheduling, and documentation.  
 - Learn carrier coordination and returns workflows.  
System Training:  In future
 - Hands-on practice with key software (e.g., SAP, Excel, WMS).  

Week 4 - 6: 
Task Execution & Skill Building 
Structured Responsibilities:  
- Store Tasks:  
a. Daily restocking and shelf organization.  
b. Assist with weekly inventory audits.  
c. Basic customer inquiries. 
- Logistics Tasks:  
a. Update shipment trackers.  
b. Prepare shipping labels/documents.  
c. Analyze delivery timelines for delays.  
Mentor Check-ins: Weekly 1:1s to review progress and answer questions.
 (midpoint review - Assess technical skills, adaptability, and teamwork)

Week 7 - 10: 
Project Work 
Capstone Project:  
 - Example: "Optimize restocking workflow between store and warehouse."    
 - Intern researches pain points, proposes solutions, and presents findings.  
Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with store/logistics teams.
 
Week 11 - 12: 
Evaluation & Transition 
Final Evaluation (Week 12):  
 - Mentor feedback + intern self-assessment.  
Certificate of completion.  
Intern Feedback Survey: Improve future programs.
Handover: Document tasks/projects for smooth transition.  
Exit Interview: Discuss experience, career goals, and program improvements.
Networking: Invite to team lunch/event and connect on LinkedIn.
 
Timeline Overview:
Weeks 1–3: Orientation + shadowing.
Weeks 4–6: Task execution + skill-building.
Weeks 7–10: Project work.
