Cost Management and Master Data Maintenance
- Standard Cost Parameterization: Set up and fine-tune the parameters for standard costs, providing a solid foundation for cost control and variance analysis. This involves in-depth understanding of production processes and cost drivers.
- Stock Master Data Custodianship: Diligently maintain the master data of stock, including the standard costs of materials, semi-finished products, and finished products. Your attention to detail will be crucial in ensuring the accuracy of inventory valuation.
Stock Control and Management
- Stock Valuation and Reconciliation: Spearhead stock control initiatives, which include accurate stock valuation, regular stock taking, and seamless reconciliation. Your efforts will contribute to minimizing inventory-related losses and ensuring financial transparency.
Budgeting, Forecasting, and Cost Analysis
- Budget and Forecast Execution: Drive the budget & forecasting process, and closely follow up on actual performance against the set plans. Your insights will be invaluable in identifying trends and making proactive adjustments.
- Costing Analysis and Communication: Conduct comprehensive costing analysis on a monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc basis. Communicate your findings clearly to relevant stakeholders, inspiring them to take meaningful actions and providing well-thought-out comments.
Financial Closing and Process Improvement
- Costing Closures: Perform the monthly/quarterly/yearly closing of costing with precision, ensuring that all financial records are up-to-date and compliant.
- Process Enhancement: Develop and improve costing processes, procedures, and policies. Continuously analyze costing variances and monitor KPIs to enhance operational performance.
Cost Allocation and Center Management
- Cost Allocation Model Creation: Design and maintain an effective cost allocation model, ensuring that costs are distributed fairly across different business activities.
- Cost and Profit Center Management: Create and maintain cost centers & profit centers, providing clear visibility into the financial performance of different business units.
Compliance and General Accounting
- Regulatory Adherence: Ensure strict alignment with the internal control framework, as well as all applicable laws and regulations. Validate the implementation and operation of internal controls.
- General Accounting Duties: Execute general accounting activities, with a focus on monthly closings, balance sheet reconciliation, in-depth number analysis, and report preparation for accounting transactions.
Support and Collaboration
- Backup and Project Contribution: Act as a reliable back-up for other roles within the finance organization. Contribute actively to selected internal development projects, sharing your expertise and innovative ideas.
- Reporting and Auditing Support: Prepare mandatory group reports and possible local governmental reports. Cooperate seamlessly with internal and external auditing & inspection teams.
Documentation and Information Provision
- Document Management: Handle vouchers and other document filing, maintaining an organized and easily accessible record-keeping system.
- Accurate Information Delivery: Provide accurate and timely information to uphold the integrity of financial data and ensure compliance.
Requirements
Educational Background: Hold a Bachelor’s degree in finance or Accounting from a reputable university. Your academic foundation will be the cornerstone of your success in this role.
- Work Experience: Bring approximately 5 years of finance/cost accounting related work experience, with more than 2 years in the costing-related area. Manufacturing industry experience is highly preferred, as it will enable you to quickly adapt to our business environment.
- Language Proficiency: Be fluent in Chinese, English, and Malaysian, both in speaking and writing. This multilingual ability will facilitate effective communication across different teams and stakeholders.
- Software Skills: Have experience with SAP BI, ERP (e.g. Oracle, SAP) software. Proficiency in these tools will enhance your efficiency in data management and analysis.
- Interpersonal Skills: Be a team player with excellent communication skills. Your ability to collaborate effectively and share your knowledge will be essential in driving the success of the finance team and the organization as a whole.
