Job description
• Manage end-to-end procurement activities, including sourcing, vendor selection, negotiation, and contract management.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand material and service requirements.
• Maintain and build relationships with suppliers, ensuring compliance with company standards and quality expectations.
• Monitor market trends and supplier performance to identify cost-saving opportunities and ensure timely delivery.
• Prepare and review purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project specifications.
• Coordinate with headquarter (Japan), Japanese suppliers and stakeholders, facilitating seamless communication and documentation in Japanese.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and relevant regulations.
• Generate reports on procurement activities, including cost analysis, supplier performance, and procurement KPIs.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement process to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or any related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the industrial or manufacturing sector.
• Proficiency in Japanese (spoken, read and written) is mandatory; JLPT N2 or above is preferred.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with procurement software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP S4 HANA) is an advantage.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of Ebara’s product range or experience in the pump and industrial equipment industry is an advantage.
