Job description

We are seeking a professional 3D Scanning Technician specializing in the automotive paint protection film industry. The primary responsibility of this role is to use 3D scanning technology to capture precise vehicle contours, which will be used to design and produce custom-fit paint protection films (PPF). The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with 3D scanning equipment and software, and the ability to translate scan data into accurate templates.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform high-precision 3D scanning of vehicle exteriors, capturing complete body details

Generate accurate templates based on scanned data for vehicle paint protection film applications

Process, optimize, and analyze 3D scan data to ensure precision in models and designs

Collaborate with design and production teams to ensure perfect alignment of protective films with vehicle bodies

Maintain and calibrate 3D scanning equipment regularly to ensure optimal performance

Participate in the development and implementation of new technologies to improve film production accuracy and quality

Provide technical support to the paint protection film installation team, ensuring precision during the application process


Qualifications:

Educational background in automotive engineering, mechanical design, or related fields

A minimum of 1 year of experience using 3D scanning equipment, especially in the automotive industry

Proficiency in operating 3D scanning tools and software

Expertise in 3D modeling software

Strong attention to detail with the ability to capture and identify precise vehicle curves and details

Excellent time management skills, able to meet tight deadlines for scanning and data processing

Strong teamwork skills and ability to collaborate closely with other technical staff
                    

Requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in paint protection film, automotive wrap, or related industries

Familiarity with the characteristics of paint protection film materials and installation processes
