Job description

-Develop and implement purchasing strategies aligned with company objectives.
-Manage and oversee the entire procurement process, from sourcing to contract negotiation and supplier selection.
-Establish and maintain effective relationships with suppliers to ensure high-quality goods and services at competitive prices.-
-Draft, review, and manage purchasing contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.--
-Monitor supplier performance, manage risk, and initiate corrective actions when necessary.
-Set up and optimize purchasing processes, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
-Lead negotiation efforts to secure favorable terms and conditions with suppliers.
-Collaborate with global project teams to align purchasing activities with project requirements.
-Analyze market trends, global material costs, and supplier data to inform purchasing decisions.
-Prepare and present reports on purchasing activities, savings, and performance metrics.
-Utilize ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and MS Office tools to manage purchasing data and processes effectively.
-Coordinate with other departments, such as finance, engineering, and production, to ensure seamless procurement operations.
-Manage and mentor a team of buyers or procurement specialists, providing guidance and training as needed.
-Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations related to procurement.-
                    

Requirements

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree required; additional legal education is a plus.
8+ years of experience in purchasing and project management.
5+ years of negotiation experience.
Fluent in Chinese (reading, writing, speaking, listening).
Willingness to travel internationally.
Skills:

Proficient in drafting purchasing contracts and setting up purchasing processes.
Experienced in supplier management and onboarding.
Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and strong skills in MS Office (Excel and PowerPoint).
Effective negotiator with strong influence skills.
Knowledge of engineering drawings, specifications, and manufacturing processes.
Experience working with global project teams.
Understanding of global material costs.
