Job description
• Respond promptly to emergency calls, assess the situation, and provide immediate medical care to individuals in need, including administering first aid, CPR, and other life-saving techniques.
• Medical Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain medical equipment, such as defibrillators, ventilators, and intravenous therapy equipment, ensuring they are in working order.
• Safely and efficiently transport patients to medical facilities, providing continuous care during transit and ensuring the patient's comfort.
• Conduct thorough assessments of patients' medical conditions, gather relevant information, and communicate effectively with patients and their families to provide reassurance and explain the treatment plan.
• Accurately document patient assessments, care provided, and other relevant information in electronic medical records to ensure comprehensive medical history.
• Work closely with other healthcare professionals, including doctors to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.
• Adhere to all relevant regulations, guidelines, and protocols in the field of emergency medical services, including those established by the Ministry of Health in Malaysia.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in emergency medical care and attend regular training and certification programs to maintain and improve your skills.
Requirements
• Diploma or Degree in Paramedicine or related field.
• Valid certification as a Paramedic from a recognized institution.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
• Compassion, empathy, and the ability to remain calm in high-stress situations.
• Possess valid D & E license. (PSV license will be an added advantage)
